Fireplace, barbecue and other outdoor cooking facilities were designed into a covered stone terrace overlooking the pool, putting green and lower gardens. The terrace is surrounded by plantings of roses, lavender, verbena and angelonia. A decomposed granite pathway encircles the lower lawn playfield and serves as a bicycle/running path. Above the lower garden, a pathway works its way up to the children's play area, putting green and upper viewing area. Roses, statice, penstemon, salvias, lavenders, rosemary and fruit trees surround the path.
