Fireplace, barbecue and other outdoor cooking facilities were designed into a covered stone terrace overlooking the pool, putting green and lower gardens. The terrace is surrounded by raised plantings of roses, lavender, rosemary, daylily and artemesia. Above the lower garden, a meandering set of wooden steps cuts through a bank of lavender and rosemary to a children's play garden with miniature play house, swings, sand box and "tree house". The path then leads up the terraced bank to a hill side water slide that ends up back in the childrens play area.
